Overview
Paddington originated with humble working class beginnings and has evolved into Sydney’s trendiest suburb. An eclectic mix of artists, restaurateurs, advertising executives and lawyers mingle happily while perfecting the art of the Oxford Street crawl and discussing real estate ventures. Here you can find some of the finest examples of Victorian terraces that border the picturesque tree-lined streets. Transport facilities
There is a regular bus service (380) along Oxford Street that connects the city with Bondi Beach. Buses also service Bondi Junction and Edgecliff train stations.

• The ‘Paddington Estate’ belonged to James Underwood, who subdivided the land in October 1839

• A portion was acquired by Messrs Robert Cooper and Francis Forbes for the purpose of setting up a distillery
