The family moved from Nigeria before he was 1 year old. He has an older brother Simon and a younger sister Anna Jane.

His father worked in the computer industry. He was diagnosed as an epileptic when he was 13 and has taken medication ever since.

Over time the family resided in England, Australia, then back to England, from there they went to South Africa before coming back to England again.


In England he attended Queen Elizabeth’s Hospital School in Bristol and while there he excelled in history achieving an A in his O-level examination, he also showed promise in some the theatre productions there.
