Across MegaCity in various city parks, concert venues were erected displaying banners that read "A piece of Blue Sky: A Celebration of Dreams Fulfilled." Operatives learned, that Metacortex co-founder Decius Wadsworth was sponsoring the concerts as a 'thank you' to the city that gave him his fortune.
It soon became apparent that not everything was as it appeared. The Merovingian called on his operatives to investigate the concert venues, and to keep a close eye on them. The Merovingian was angered that such an event was taking place without his authorization; it was rumoured, that the Merovingian was the true owner/operator of Metacortex.
In the week leading up to the date of the concerts, attacks on Redpills mysterious began, by a group known only as The Sleepwalkers. The attakes became more proliferate and angry as the week drew on. No redpill was safe from the Sleepwalkers, they appeared everywhere a redpill was found. It was revealed that the Sleepwalkers were a splinter group of Cypherites, hell bent on re-inserting every awakened redpill into The Matrix, through force...
The Architect appeared in The Matrix and spoke to Machine operatives, warning them that the concert sites were destabilizing The Matrix simulation. The search lights at the venues were being used to siphon energy from the simulation. For what purpose, no one was sure. As the week drew on, and the days passed, the search lights grew brighter and brighter as the sky grew darker and darker.
In a flurry of activity, organization leaders called meetings with their operatives. Niobe appeared and speak to Zionites, the Merovingian held meetings with his Exiles, Cryptos spoke to the Cypherites and Agent Pace called for a moment with the Machines. Each leader warned their operatives to keep an eye on the concert sites, and to fight the Sleepwalkers.
Then on Sunday, the day the concerts were to happen, all hell broke loose. It became apparent that the venues were truly a trap; a trap to lure all redpills to their location and force re-insertion upon them. The search lights began to vibrate and shake The Matrix. Bright flashes of light erupted as the code weakened, and from the lights, the area was flooded with Sleepwalkers. In battles across the city, that lasted for hours, redpills fought the Sleepwalkers and their leaders; many fighting off the waves of Sleepwalkers as the more technical minded operatives worked on reversing the effects of the search lights.
After the venues were finally cleared, organization leaders called their supporters to various meetings. At these meetings, the organization leaders congratulated the redpills on their success in saving The Matrix, once again.
Much remains unanswered...
Peace, as always, remains a fragile state within The Matrix.
Talk of war looms closer than ever... A war against the Merovingian and his Exiles.
The General and his Commandos have formed an alliance with Niobe and her Zionite sect. She seeks revenge against the Merovingian for the death of Morpheus, although rumors boil within the Zion organization that he is still alive. With the help of the General, she seeks the permanent deletion of the Merovingian from The Matrix.
